Meet the Aditude Team: Can you introduce yourself and describe your role at Aditude?
Hi, my name is Pam and I’m a Senior Technical Account Manager at Aditude. My role is to help our publisher clients have the best experience possible using Aditude's ad tech solutions.
Day in the Life: What does a typical day look like for you at Aditude? Walk us through your daily responsibilities.
A typical day for me at Aditude can involve a variety of tasks. Usually, I start each day by reviewing Slack, email, and any open projects, to determine the most immediate demands. Currently, I am deeply involved in onboarding new websites to our ad tech framework. This can involve meetings with publishers and internal team members, making sure clients' specifications are included in their site set-ups, answering client questions, showing publishers how to use our products, and troubleshooting problems.
Your Journey to Aditude: How did you end up working at Aditude? What inspired you to join the team?
I started working at Aditude when they acquired Hashtag Labs in mid 2024. Having already worked at Hashtag Labs for several years prior to the acquisition, I was excited to find out how combining the resources of these two companies would change our products, and our day-to-day operations.
Favorite Projects: What has been your most exciting or rewarding project at Aditude so far?
My most exciting and rewarding projects have been some of our larger publisher onboardings. Each publisher has unique requirements, and some have as many as 50 or more websites that need to be addressed. While the amount of time, attention to detail, and communication is significant, it is really rewarding when each publisher is happy with the end result. Plus, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with some really great people along the way!
Challenges & Solutions: What are some common challenges you face in your role, and how do you overcome them?
Similar to any technical position, my role requires a lot of attention to detail. Things can be easily overlooked, or problems can arise when changes occur. I try to overcome these challenges with regular monitoring of sites, performing quality assurance tasks, and communicating with other team members, as well as the publishers we work with.
Team Collaboration: How does collaboration with other team members affect your work?
Collaborating with other team members is essential to completing my work. If I don’t know the answer to a question, there is usually someone on our team who does, and I often reach out to fellow team members for their insight on issues that arise. Other team members have also been able to help with ways to make my tasks more efficient, or step up and help when my workload is challenging.
Career Advice: What advice would you give someone looking to pursue a similar career?
My advice to someone pursuing a similar career is to start with the basics and go from there. I started as an ad trafficker setting up, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing direct deals for publishers. It gave me a really solid foundation with the online ad experience. Without that, it would be much more challenging for me to be onboarding sites to our technology and troubleshooting more advanced problems for publishers today.
Tech & Trends: What emerging technologies or trends are you most excited about in the programmatic advertising space?
I am most excited about the data technologies that are available, whether they’re being used by Aditude to help publishers determine the best ways to optimize revenue for their sites, or directly by publishers to better target their ads. As tools in this area continue to be developed, I am looking forward to the impact this has on monetization for publishers.
Memorable Moments: Share a memorable or funny moment you've had while working at Aditude.
My most memorable experience was the first company meeting after Hashtag Labs’ acquisition by Aditude. There was a lot of uncertainty with all of the changes and I didn't know what to expect, but Jared (Aditude's CEO) made us feel very welcome right away, and my new manager, Yirmi, has been really great to work with. Since then I have really felt like a part of the Aditude team!
Future Goals: Where do you see yourself and Aditude heading in the next few years? Any exciting plans or visions for the future?
Having originally been a part of Hashtag Labs, I’m really eager to see how HTL’s ad tech software grows now that we’re merging the technology and ideas of two exceptional companies. I think the combined result will be an even more powerful solution for publishers!
